Report says Vols are eyeing Heels' Butch Davis

Coach Butch Davis of North Carolina declined last night to address a report in The Knoxville News-Sentinel that he is the leading candidate to become Tennessee's next football coach. The News-Sentinel reported late Saturday on its Web site that multiple sources said that Davis is at the top of the list of coaches that Tennessee wants to replace Philip Fulmer, who will step down at the end of the season.
