Tar Heels climb in rankings, focus on stretch drive

Butch Davis said the goal for this season's North Carolina team was to play meaningful games late in the season. With a ranking of 17th in The Associated Press football poll and a shot at the ACC's Coastal Division title still alive, Saturday's trip to take on Atlantic Division contender Maryland certainly qualifies. But while the goal of facing a big game in the season's final stretch has been reached, the Tar Heels don't appear satisfied.
