The Tar Heels' five starters (Armando Bacot, Cormac Ryan, Harrison Ingram, R.J. Davis, and Paxson Wojcik) entered the game with 416 combined college starts. Elliot Cadeau's six assists were the most by a freshman in a UNC debut since Bobby Frasor's five in 2005. Bacot recorded the 69th double-double of his UNC career, extending his school record.
