Darius Powell Dismissed from Football Team

Sophomore defensive end Darius Powell has been dismissed from the team, a UNC official confirmed to Inside Carolina on Tuesday. According to the UNC official, Powell’s dismissal was a result of violating team rules. Powell, a native of Waldorf, Md., recorded four tackles this season as a reserve defensive end.
