The North Carolina field hockey team opens its quest for a second consecutive NCAA championship on Friday, hosting William & Mary at noon for a first-round game at Karen Shelton Stadium. UNC, the top seed in the field and the top ranked team in this week's coaches' poll, has been idle for a week since winning the 2023 ACC Championship last Friday. (GoHeels.com)
