UNC tight end John Copenhaver didn’t necessarily consider himself a standout recruit in high school but recalls his career taking a jump to the next level during his junior year at Roswell High School – his first season playing on the varsity. By his senior year, the realization of playing at the division 1 level had set in, and he knew he wanted to be a Tar Heel.
