Penn mixing youth with maturity

The Penn Quakers, who open their season tomorrow at top-ranked North Carolina, aren't much older as a unit than they were when they were routed, 106-71, by the Tar Heels in December at the Palestra. With only go-to swingman Brian Grandieri and reserves Michael Kach and Joe Gill gone, coach Glen Miller is expecting the 2008 Ivy League rookie of the year, guard Tyler Bernardini, and sophomore forward Jack Eggleston to build off their freshman seasons.
