Tar Heels Put Up Fight But Fall to UConn In Jimmy V Classic


North Carolina had fight but not enough other essential qualities to measure up Tuesday night. The No. 9 Tar Heels lot to No. 5 Connecticut 87-76 in the Jimmy V Classic at Madison Square Garden, as the reigning NCAA champion Huskies proved to be too much in this top-10 bout.
