Tar Heel Cross Country Takes Third At Regionals

UNC senior Brie Felnagle and junior Lauren Holesh earned all-region honors in leading the Tar Heels to a third-place finish at the NCAA Southeast Cross Country Regional Saturday at Tanglewood State Park. Freshman Ashley Verplank (32nd), senior Morgan Stengel (53rd) and sophomore Callan Fike (63rd) rounded out the scorers for UNC. Sophomore Evan Watchempino earned all-region honors for the men's squad with a 15th-place finish.
