For a while, Sam Howell looked like the quarterback of the future for the Washington Commanders. Lately, it has become less clear. And it has led to questions about his role after this season. Some of it could depend on how he plays the next three games. A lot of it will be determined by who's making that decision, with coach Ron Rivera likely to be gone.
