Former UNC and longtime Roy Williams assistant coach Jerod Haase was off to a tough start in his eighth season as Stanford’s head basketball coach but finished 2023 with a bang. Freshman guard Kanaan Carlyle scored 25 points as the unranked Cardinal made a school-record 16 3-pointers and stunned No. 4 Arizona despite 23 points from Caleb Love.
