Second Half of Season Doomed Gene Chizik's Future In Chapel Hill

Gene Chizik’s second tenure at North Carolina came to an end on Wednesday. UNC’s defensive coordinator over the last two seasons is out after another poor season in which the Tar Heels finished 95th in total defense and lost their final three games. Carolina lost five of its last six games against Power-5 teams, with the defense playing poorly each time.
