Roy, a friend indeed
Posted Apr 23, 2008
The heart of collegiate basketball beats at Kansas. The founder of the game, James Naismith, coached there and Dr. Forrest Allen – Phog to Kansas zealots – created the basketball coaching profession as we know it. So, thanks to Roy Williams, our best basketball friend when we are not playing North Carolina, for his glory years and fabulous contribution to Kansas basketball. When all the chips were on the table at San Antonio, he was with us.
