Zeller expected to miss rest of season

As the Tar Heels hit the road on a four-game field trip that includes stops in California and Maui, suddenly they’ll do so with more significant injuries than victories. Freshman forward Tyler Zeller was the latest Tar Heel to go down, fracturing his left wrist with 1:26 to play in Tuesday night’s 77-58 defeat of Kentucky. According to Carolina officials, Zeller underwent surgery on the wrist Wednesday at UNC Hospitals and is expected to miss the remainder of the season.
