John Shoop understands the heat Bob Babich is getting

John Shoop doesn't know Chicago Bears defensive coordinator Bob Babich. But nobody knows how difficult it must have been for Babich to suffer through the recent torrent of criticism more than Shoop, perhaps the most polarizing coordinator in Bears history. Critics attacked Shoop even more than they have Babich. Now the offensive coordinator at UNC, Shoop can empathize with the plight of Babich based on the personal toll from his own tenure at Halas Hall.
