Tar Heel Softball Edges Out UCF, 2-1


UNC Softball (5-1) gritted out a 2-1 victory over UCF (4-2) in their first win of the Shriners Children's Clearwater Invitational on Friday (Highlights). The Tar Heels improved to 4-0 against the Knights. Left-handed pitcher Bailey McCachren shined in the circle, tossing a complete game with more than 100 pitches thrown, allowing one earned run.
