UNC Basketball Secures Elusive Breakthrough Victory at Virginia

Masterpiece theater it was not, but North Carolina’s long search for a breakthrough victory at Virginia arrived Saturday evening after more than a decade of dreaded futility. The No. 10 Tar Heels finally solved the Cavaliers, winning 54-44 at John Paul Jones Arena to snap their eight-game road losing skid in this series between old ACC basketball rivals.
