UNC Baseball Rally Comes Up Short Against No. 11 ECU

Zach Root pitched seven shutout innings to lead No. 11 East Carolina to a 7-4 win over No. 15 North Carolina in Fayetteville on Saturday in game two of a three-game series. The Tar Heels trailed 7-0 but rallied to bring the tying run to the plate in the ninth, only to have ECU third baseman Dixon Williams rob Alex Madera of an extra-base hit to end the game.
