North Carolina had lost eight straight basketball games at Virginia. Its 2017 national championship team lost in Charlottesville. Its 2016 Final Four team lost in Charlottesville. Several great guards never won at Virginia, from Marcus Paige to Joel Berry to Coby White to R.J. Davis. And then, Saturday, it was Elliot Cadeau’s turn to lead the Tar Heels.
