R.J. Davis' 42 points are the record for any game in Smith Center history. The previous Smith Center record was 40, set by Tyler Hansbrough vs. Georgia Tech on Feb. 15, 2006. It was the first time a Tar Heel outscored the rest of the team since Jan. 29, 1983, when Michael Jordan scored a career-high 39 of UNC's 72 points over Georgia Tech in Greensboro.
