A broadcaster's view of the North Carolina-Duke rivalry

Duke became a national power under Bill Foster in the late 70s. For me, the guy that made Duke go was Jim Spanarkel. His senior night in 1979 saw one of the most memorable games I can ever remember. Duke scored first and set up its zone defense with Mike Gminski down low. UNC coach immediately went to his four-corner offense. (WRAL Sports Fan)
