ESPN projects Tar Heels as No. 1 seed but NET ranking remains unchanged


No. 4 North Carolina’s seventh straight win and seventh Quad 2 victory increased the Tar Heels’ chances of earning a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament. Although UNC stayed at seventh in the NET ranking, more bracket projections, including ESPN, now have Carolina as a No. 1 seed ahead of facing Pittsburgh in the ACC tournament semifinals on Friday.
