Anatomy of a Save with UNC closer Matt Poston
Posted Mar 15, 2024
North Carolina closer Matt Poston likes to talk on the pitcher's mound. Especially in one-run, top of the ninth, pressure situations. A save situation. "I’ll say stuff in my head that's not friendly but it's just to myself. I'll never say anything to opposing players or anything like that." He thrives on one-on-one competition and adrenaline. "It’s me versus you."
