No single person is more responsible for trying to wreck what makes the NCAA Tournament great. Greg Sankey has applied nearly constant pressure to the NCAA to remake basketball’s marquee event to his conference’s liking, and he has the leverage to do so; he is one of a very few people in college sports who could decide to take his ball and go home.
