Chapel Hill's East Franklin Street is changing, not dying

UNC and Chapel Hill are making substantial investments in the 100-block of East Franklin St. If the approved projects are built, East Franklin will be much more vibrant five years from now, and if the town council commits to adding more housing in this section of downtown, we’ll see the number of year-round residents and employees rise as well.
