The game itself was certainly a headliner - North Carolina, the unanimous No. 1 in the Associated Press poll, against No. 8 Notre Dame for the EA Sports Maui Invitational championship. An anticipated individual matchup between the Tar Heels' Tyler Hansbrough - the national player of the year - and Big East player of the year Luke Harangody of the Fighting Irish never really developed, however, on Wednesday night at the Lahaina Civic Center.
