Armando Bacot went up for a two-handed flush that would have put Carolina ahead by five with 6:42 to go. But this time, the ball bounced off the back of the rim. Bacot shook his head in disbelief. A Tar Heel foul just seconds later paused the game for a moment, and Cormac Ryan immediately went over to encourage the big man. "I was sick," Bacot said.
