The Definition of a Rout
Posted Dec 1, 2008
Unfortunately for UNC Asheville, No. 1 North Carolina showed no signs of jet lag due to its flight home from Maui. The Tar Heels delivered a series of first-half runs that left the Bulldogs chasing their tails and collared with a 116-48 loss. The 68-point margin of victory equals the third-largest in any game in UNC history and ties the largest in Smith Center history. North Carolina led by as many as 71 points in the final minutes.
