In what was hyped as the marquee matchup of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, No. 1 UNC throttled No. 12 Michigan State, 98-63, using the home of the 2009 Final Four as its platform to showcase why they fully expect to return to Ford Field in April. Following the game, the media interview room was chocked full of national media types. But despite the wide range of outlets represented, the majority opinion was loud and clear – this North Carolina squad is special.
