UNC Basketball fans of a certain age will quickly list a 74-61 win over Kentucky in the 1995 Southeast Regional as one of the most important of the Dean Smith era. Beyond the berth in the Final Four, the game featured the two winningest programs in college basketball. Tournament victories over blue bloods are always valued, but this one stood out.
