Davis' Heels on the right track

It’s not the Orange Bowl, which is the annual post-season destination for the ACC champion. But landing a berth in the Meineke Car Care Bowl still represents a significant step forward to Coach Butch Davis in year two of his rebuilding effort at North Carolina. The Tar Heels accepted an invitation Sunday to play Big East Conference opponent West Virginia in the Charlotte-based bowl. It’ll mark UNC’s first postseason appearance since 2004.
