Diamond Heels Exit College World Series in Season-Ending Loss to Florida State

UNC couldn't become the last ACC team standing at the College World Series. The Tar Heels fell to Florida State 9-5 in an elimination game Tuesday in Omaha. The Tar Heels (48-16) claimed the ACC regular-season title on the way to engineering a return to Omaha for the first time since 2018, their 12th CWS appearance and eighth trip since 2006.
