Tar Heels Shine at U.S. Olympic Track & Field Trials; Paige, Strand Advance to Semifinals


On Day one of the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials, two Tar Heels, Makayla Paige and Ethan Strand, advanced to the semifinals to compete for a spot on the U.S. National Team at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Paige took 5th place and the semifinal qualifying spot in her 800m heat with a time of 2:02.12. Strand qualified in the 1,500m with a time of 3:38.02. (GoHeels.com)
