UNC Basketball will play 12 non-conference games, rather than 11, in 2024-25 thanks to an NCAA exception allowing teams to play one extra game against an NCAA member in Hawaii or Alaska. Phil Steele named three Tar Heels to his Preseason All-America teams: Omarion Hampton, Bryson Nesbit, and Kaimon Rucker.
