Virginia Tech celebrates 20 years in the ACC

July 1st, 2004 was a monumental moment in Virginia Tech history as it joined the ACC. After some negotiating and maneuvering, the move to the ACC proved well worth it. In the last 20 years, the Hokies have won 36 championships across 12 sports, making them an athletic powerhouse not only in the commonwealth, but the entire coast. (WDBJ 7)
