Bart Torvik, whose rankings are one of the most respected computer rankings, has the Tar Heels moving up from No. 9 in last season’s final ranking to No. 6 in his 2024-25 preseason projection. The Tar Heels and Duke (No. 2) are the only ACC teams in his top 20.
