The worst loss in UNC Basketball history occurred in 1984 to Indiana in the NCAA Tournament regional semifinals. The No. 1 Tar Heels, 28-2 with two losses by a total of three points, featured Michael Jordan with four other first-round NBA picks and had, as then-assistant coach Roy Williams said, "everything that you need to win the national championship."
