Another big story kicked aside Anson Dorrance’s grand retirement plan for his last game. After UNC lost 4-3 at BYU in last season’s NCAA quarterfinals with a chance to make the College Cup, Dorrance had a conversation with Athletics Director Bubba Cunningham early this year that provoked a lot of thought. "He said, ‘Anson, you’ve got to protect your legacy.’"
