Southern Institution Mama Dip’s Vows to Continue Feeding Chapel Hill


Spring Council said while the physical restaurant will close Aug. 17, Mama Dip’s will continue with a takeout model for the foreseeable future. "We’re all getting older," Spring, who at 67 is the youngest child of (a.k.a. Mama Dip), said of herself and seven siblings, who own the restaurant. "We want to keep my mother’s legacy alive."
