Why Mack Brown is like a 'second grandpa' to Texans RB British Brooks

Houston Texans running back is easy to root for. The undrafted free agent from UNC was a walk-on special teams player in 2018, then worked his way to a sizable share of carries in 2021. Brooks missed 2022 after tearing a ligament in his knee. He didn't return to the field for 611 days. Earning a spot on the Texans' 53-man roster was unlikely. (Houston Chronicle)
