Five-star guard Jasper Johnson commits to Kentucky basketball

Jasper Johnson, a 5-star shooting guard and Lexington native, committed to Kentucky on Thursday. The 6-foot-4 recruit, who plays for Overtime Elite (GA), chose the Wildcats over Alabama and North Carolina. Johnson becomes UK’s second addition to the 2025 recruiting class, after new coach Mark Pope added the nation’s No. 1 center Malachi Moreno.
