Mack Hollins’ touchdown reception, British Brooks’ impressive hit and Mike Hughes’ big day highlighted Week 1 of the NFL season for Carolina alums. Inactive for Week 1 were Indianapolis wide receiver Josh Downs (still recovering from a high ankle sprain), Houston strong safety M.J. Stewart (knee injury) and Baltimore rookie wide receiver Tez Walker.
