Kaimon Rucker was a scratch from UNC Football's home opener against Charlotte, prompting freshmen Tyler Thompson and Jaybron Harvey to step into higher snap counts at the rush position, and Rucker made sure to challenge them beforehand. "I'm out of here next year anyway, so you guys have to step up," Rucker told the team before the game.
