UNC hosted No. 6 and defending ACC champion Florida State on Sept. 22, 2001 when college football resumed following the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Through all prisms, it looked like a fourth consecutive loss. And when the Seminoles led 9-7 at halftime, there still wasn’t much hope for an upset.
