Derek Dixon among five biggest college basketball commits in September

Four-star combo guard Derek Dixon's commitment is important because it got UNC on the board. It’s not as though Dixon was a must-get for the Tar Heels, but his commitment certainly alleviated a hint of concern about the program’s slow start to the 2025 recruiting class. Now, Hubert Davis and his staff can focus on other high-priority recruits.
