On the Sunday after his team absorbed a startling 41-10 home loss to rival N.C. State, Butch Davis returned to Kenan Stadium and found a horde of his players who could best be described as angry. The Tar Heels seemed peeved that a turnaround season had taken such an unforeseen and humiliating detour down the stretch.
