Good season could have been great for Meineke Car Care Bowl teams
Posted Dec 25, 2008
If there were a story to North Carolina's season, it would almost certainly be "What if..." The Tar Heels (8-4), who play West Virginia (8-4) in Saturday's 1 p.m. Meineke Car Care Bowl on ESPN, once were 5-1 and ranked No. 18 in the country. Three of the four losses were by a total of eight points. "A couple more points here and there, we could have been 11-1," safety Deunta Williams said earlier this month.
