Butch Davis remembers Mountaineers all too well
Posted Dec 27, 2008
You bet Butch Davis remembers West Virginia. Not just his 5-1 record against the Mountaineers as Miami's coach from 1995-2000. Not just the fact two of those Hurricanes victories came by a touchdown or less and two more by a field goal or less. He, like most West Virginia fans, will never forget 1996 at Mountaineer Field. "You remember a little bit about all of them," the North Carolina coach said yesterday, hours before his Tar Heels meet West Virginia in the Meineke Car Care Bowl.
