Tavorris Jolly no longer with UNC football team

Tavorris Jolly is no longer with the University of North Carolina football program, Tar Heels coach Butch Davis said Friday. Jolly, a 2006 Shelby High graduate, played in nine games over the previous two seasons as a defensive back, making 10 tackles. He played only once this past season - making a tackle in North Carolina's 44-12 win at Rutgers in September. Jolly came to UNC in the fall of 2006. He redshirted during his true freshman season with the Tar Heels. (Gaston Gazette)
