After James Madison beat North Carolina this season, Tar Heels coach Mack Brown told his team in the locker room that he would step away from the program if he couldn’t get things fixed. It was a murky statement; was he retiring? But Brown made it clear he was not calling it quits. Still, other programs have gone after numerous UNC football commits.
